Description
Attestation, Apostille and Embassy Attesatatioon
What Is Attestation?
Attestation is a process by which documents are authenticated. It is used to prove that a document has been issued by an authority in another country and not forged or counterfeit. In India, attestation can be done by either Indian Embassy or Consulate General of Canada (Ottawa).
There are two types of Attestation:
- Embassies/Consulates – These offices issue certificates for documents issued within India or those which have been legalized by them. The embassy/consulate attests about the authenticity of such documents; for example if you have married your partner abroad then this will be your marriage certificate but if he/she does not have any other proofs then it may get rejected due to some technical reasons like missing signature etc.. * Attestations – These offices do not issue certificates but only attest about authenticity of certain documents like birth certificates etc..
How to Apply for UK Embassy Attestation?
You need to submit the following documents to the Attestation Department of the Embassy:
- original documents in English, French and Spanish (or other languages)
- photocopies of all pages with your name, address and date of birth.
How to Get Apostille Certificate?
To get an Apostille Certificate:
- You must have a valid passport with you and it must be valid at the time of application.
- You need to apply for it in person at the embassy or consulate that issued your passport, along with supporting documents such as birth certificate and marriage certificate etc., if applicable, along with any other necessary supporting documents like birth records from other countries or school certificates etc., which can be submitted electronically using e-mail address provided by us when registering online for our services.
What is the Procedure of Attestation?
- The applicant submits the original document to the authority that is authorized to attestation.
- The authorized authority checks the original document. If it is found to be genuine and valid, it is attested.
What is the Difference Between Apostille and Attestation?
Apostille and Attestation are two different types of certificates that can be issued by an embassy or consulate. The difference between them is that while an apostille allows you to travel with your document, attestation requires you to present your documents in person at the embassy or consulate.
Apostille: The term “apostille” literally means “an official seal.” It refers to a document authenticating something (such as a birth certificate) issued by an official government office with jurisdiction over the issuing country. An apostilled copy of your passport will show its validity date and place of issue before it was stamped with this seal by the relevant authority. For example, if you have been travelling abroad for more than six months then your passport will have expired and therefore cannot be used as ID card anymore; however if you were born outside Canada then even though he/she has no legal status here yet but still needs one too until he/she becomes legal citizen here through naturalization process then this could be achieved through getting his/her parents’ passports firstly stamped with their own country’s diplomatic emblems which would then allow him/her entry into new territories without any problem at all!

Attestation, Apostille and Embassy Attesatatioon
Attestation is the process by which a document attested with the official seals of an authority is recognized as being genuine. The power to certify documents used for legal purposes depends on having enough recognition in a particular country to be deemed reliable by other authorities. In most countries there are two types of certificates: one issued by an independent state agency or department within its own jurisdiction and another issued by another state or other international body (such as UN). These two types are called “original” and “notarised” respectively.
Apostille is similar to attestation but differs in that it can only be used when travelling between countries which have signed treaties on diplomatic relations; thus it cannot be used in all situations where documents need to travel between states because they don’t have such treaties between them yet!
Embassy Attestation allows foreign embassies abroad (or consulates) based overseas from issuing official certificates verifying authenticity/legitimacy about documents submitted for processing through local authorities here at home here at home
